Circus Trip of Doom Begins Tonight at 10:30 p.m. EST in L.A.

By Sean Mackey

The Bulls start their ridculously dreaded 7 game, west coast circus trip this evening against the best team in the NBA, the LA Lakers. Chicago has been playing decent and they're making the most of it by running the entire game. I read in USA Today that they were 5th in the league in fast break points which is awesome. They do however need to get a big guy who can run. Zach Randolph is doing a great job of playing keep up in New York. I believe he's 3rd or 4th in the league for rebounding as well. Him or AK-47 would open up some doors for an additional scoring option behind Rose and Gordon. They also need a solid rebounder (Gooden ain't cuttin' it).

This is usually the road trip where I lose all hope for the season. If the Bulls can win 3 games on this tour de death, I'll be satisfied, not happy but satisfied. Opening up against the Lakes on their home turf has gotta scary.

Could you imagine if they somehow pulled out a win? Would it give them the confidence to defeat the other 6 teams? Probably not. If it did happen it would probably be a buzzer beating fluke, but I can dream can't I?

I think that any of the following 6 games after this are all winable but tonight's game will be the biggest challenge.

Be sure to tune in to NBA TV at 10:30 p.m. EST as it's the game of the week voted by fans. I'll be watching it on my computer on LP Broadband wishing it was in HD.
