Gray vs. Garnett: The Ultimate Showdown....TONIGHT!

By Sean Mackey

The Bulls will be getting destroyed at 7:30 p.m. EST this evening by America's favorite team, the Boston Celtics. I don't know about you, but I'm SICK of seeing Garnett and Rondo's mug on every piece of NBA media I read. I also don't understand where all of these Boston Celtics fans came from either, they sure as hell weren't around during the Dino Radja/Eric Montross days. Granted, I respect the Celtics teams of the 80's, those guys were great. I still can't think of the C's without Larry Legend and the Chief poppin' into my head. As of right now though, I'm siding with the L.A. Lakers bandwagon. In my mind, Phil Jackson is the greatest NBA coach of all time and can only solidify this by winning a 10th NBA championship ring and leaving Red Auerbach in the dust where he belongs.

I still believe that the whole NBA season last year was fixed. The whole Celtics/Lakers rivalry was renewed to cover up the whole Tim Donaghy scandal and the worst Final's viewer ratings ever with the Spurs/Cavs matchup of 2007. The Celtics traded their whole team for KG, and the Grizzlies gave up Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown, Jarvis Crittenden and a few draft picks. Those are two things that normally wouldn't happen. The Bulls would have at least given them Deng and a draft pick. Of course then, the Grizzlies would be running D-Rose at point but we'd have that long sought after post-up guy we've been needing since Elton Brand was traded.

Regardless of all my bickering, the Bulls are gonna lose bad tonight. I'm not going to get a chance to watch it since I've waited until the last minute to do my christmas shopping but that's okay. All it's going to do is make me more angry and I'm going to rant, rave and cuss about how much I hate the Celtics. Good luck VDN.
