Bulls Fall to Rockets 107-100, Hornets Follow Tonight

By Sean Mackey

I was pumped for this one but the Bulls didn't lead once in the 48 minutes of play. Asking Noah to guard Yao Ming is almost laughable. No wait, it is laughable. A-Gray couldn't do much either but at least he didn't foul him on every play. Yao got into foul trouble early in the first half and the Bulls started making a run and came within one point before the Rockets started their own run.

Chicago had an off night on shooting but Deng played a great game and was really the only bright spot with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Tyrus played a decent game as well with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.

I don't really know what else to say other than I was disappointed with the outcome of this one since I thought it was actually a winable game. They play again tonight against the New Orleans Hornets.

One thing is for sure, the Bulls are definitely playing the best basketball of their season (probably because Gooden and Hughes aren't playing), but they can't continue to get discouraged when miss 5 straight shots. They need to stay aggressive and keep moving the ball well to get the best shot. Also, I might say that with the exception of their inability to stop anyone in the paint, the defense is also acceptable.

The Hornets will be without CP3 this evening, who is out with a groin injury, ouch. They're also on a 3 game losing streak. D-Rose should have his way with Antonio Daniels and hopefully they can pull out another win.
